Historical map of Oklahoma hand-drawn by Lester Raymer of Alva, Oklahoma. In 1939 the Daughters of the American Revolution commissioned this work and donated the map to the Oklahoma Historical Society. On the map Raymer details the location of many historic sites, battles, Indian trails, and exploration routes. Oklahoma’s history and culture are also represented through depictions of American Indians, settlers, agriculture, livestock, and railroads.
