1912 Oklahoma State Fair Poster
$10.00
This poster was found in the Oklahoma Century Chest in 2013. The fair was notable in two ways. In 1913, the legislature would ban gambling on horse races at the fair. This would be the last year that this event was held. Also, exploiting the country’s passion for air flight, the fair would feature for the first time - air shows. Daredevils of the air would perform death defying feats before an audience of thousands. (Found in the Oklahoma Century Chest which was buried on April 22, 1913 at the First Lutheran church of Oklahoma City and opened 100 years later at the church on April 22, 2013.)
